Macintosh OS X Setup

From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.

Click the Network icon.

Select your modem from the Show drop down list Select the TCP/IP tab.

Select Configure and choose Using PPP.

In the Search Domains box, type tcworks.net. Then go to PPP tab.

In the Telephone Number field, type your Access Number.

In the Account Name field, enter your dialup username in the form of username@tcworks.net.

In the Password field, enter your password.

Check the Save password box
-
Then click PPP Options button.

Set your options to those as at left. You may optionally remove the tick from Disconnect if idle for xx minutes should you need to.

Click the OK button.
-
Go to Modem tab.

Modem dropdown menu select your modem from the list.

Set your options as shown.

Click the Apply Now button.

Close the Network window.

Email Setup From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences
-
Click the Internet icon.
-
Click on the Email tab
-
Email Address field, type your e-mail address.
-
incoming Mail Server field, type pop.tcworks.net
-
Account Type: POP
-
User Account ID field, type your e-mail username (all lower-case).
-
Password field, type your password.
-
Outgoing Mail Server field, type smtp.tcworks.net.

Click on the Web tab.

In Home Page field enter a site that you want as your home page e.g. www.tcworks.net.

Search Page field, type the url for your favorite search engine. (such as www.google.com)
