Using SMTP Authentication with Outlook 2002

  1. Click on the “Tools” menu.
  2. Click on “E-mail Accounts.”
  3. Select “View or change existing e-mail accounts”, then “Next.”
  4. Double click the account (or highlight it and hit the “Change” button).
  5. Click the “More Settings” button on the bottom right.
  6. Click the “Outgoing Server” tab.

  7. Place a check in the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” check box.

  8. If you are not using pop.tcworks.net or mail.tcworks.net as your incoming mail server, select “Log on using“, and enter your tcworks.net User Name and Password.
